          How will you ship my order and how much is shipping?

During the checkout process you will have the option to select Priority Mail® or Express Mail®. Priority Mail usually takes 2-3 days for all packages inside the US, and Express mail is usually 1-2 days. Domestic shipping rates are $6.80 for Priority Mail and $17.90 for Express Mail. See FAQ #6 for international shipping details.

Will you ship customer orders internationally?

We do ship packages globally using Priority Mail® International. International shipping costs are $14.35 up to 3lbs. Please contact us for a shipping quote for all international bulk orders Prior to placing your order. Once the package is sent please allow approximately 6-10 days for the shipment to arrive depending on customs.  Please keep in mind that customs can sometimes delay shipment.

How long will it take to receive my collar?

Every Tails Me About It collar is handmade to order. We do our very best to keep all collars in stock since everyone’s taste and dog sizes are different.  We get the orders shipped out as quickly as possible, but please bear in mind that your order could take anywhere between 7-14 days to complete your order. Please note large orders and holidays could delay your order.

          What is your Privacy Policy?

Tails Me About it customer privacy is extremely important to us and is always taken seriously.   We will never sell or give away any customer information.  Customer information is only used if we need to contact you about your order or for shipping your order.

What is your return policy?

Exchanges or credits are given only on defective merchandise. We guarantee our construction, seams and hardware. In an EXTREMELY rare case, if you receive a collar and find a defect in the construction, or a stain, please contact us within 14 days of the shipping date to explain the problem. We will ask that you return the UNUSED collar to us and we will correct the mistake and re-ship the collar, exchange it for another of the same value or issue you a credit.
By placing your order with Tails Me About it, you acknowledge all responsibility for choosing the correct size, color and style. We will not consider a return or refund if you have chosen the wrong size, color, style, or you changed your mind. Please remember that each collar is custom made just for you, so please pay special attention when placing your order.
PLEASE NOTE:  Normal wear and tear does NOT qualify as a construction defect and therefore does NOT qualify for exchanges or returns. Normal wear and tear depends on your dog’s activity level, if your dog wears his collar as an everyday collar, and normal scratching or play. Please make sure to check your collar for normal wear and tear often for the safety of your pet.

What breed of dogs best fits your collars? 

Because we sell 3 different collar types we can accommodate all breeds of dogs from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. Please keep in mind your dogs size and strength when choosing your collar type.   

What size collar should I order?

Tails Me About It collars come in 3 different widths and a large variety of sizes to fit all breeds. When deciding on a collar size to fit your pup, it is very important to properly measure your dog. When ordering a martingale collar, we recommend using a soft measuring tape to measure your dog’s neck as well as measuring from under the chin and up to the ears to ensure a proper fit.  When measuring for a buckle collar, add 2” to 3” and for a Velcro collar, measure right where you want the collar to lie and add 1”.  For example, with the Velcro collar if your dog’s neck size is 9” you can choose the 10”-11" size. When choosing a width please be sure there is enough space above and below the collar so that your pup will be able to move around comfortably.  For example, a 1” inch wide collar would be the largest width that would fit properly on a Chihuahua’s neck. A 2” collar would be way too large to be comfortable. Please see our “collar descriptions”  page for detailed information about all of our collars.

          What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and PayPal.  For our customer’s convenience, Tails Me About It will also accept money orders and personal checks via mail. If your preference is money order or personal check please contact us directly at CustomerCare@Tailsmeaboutit.com or visit our "Contact" page. Please note that orders placed with a personal check will not ship until payment has been cleared.

How do I care for my Tails Me About It collar?

Tails Me About It recommends spot cleaning your collar with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Let your collar air dry, but Do Not let them dry in direct sunlight to avoid fading.  If you should notice pulls in the stitching due to normal wear and tear from neck scratching or playfulness with other dogs, trim the loose ends as closely as you can and go over lightly with a lighter to seal the ends. If you are not sure what to do, or have questions please contact us for care advice.
